Tim McGovern is Director of Online Communications at The Heritage Foundation.
As Director, McGovern is responsible for Heritage's ongoing Internet strategy and presence on the World Wide Web.
Previously, he was Heritage's Director of Information Systems, where he managed the think tank's network engineering and help desk operations. He was responsible for oversight of Heritage's information technology infrastructure including its data center, telecommunications systems and desktop computing environment. He also directed the planning, creation and execution of Heritage's computing and technology training course.
Prior to joining Heritage in 2003, McGovern developed Web application for numerous online companies, most recently CourtExpress.com and Bid4Assets.com.
McGovern has a bachelor's degree in human resource management at Catholic University of America in 2000 and is working on an MBA. A native of Pennsylvania, he now lives in Silver Spring, Md., with his wife, Lori, and their two daughters, Thérèse and Myriam.
