This
chapter displays the consumer habits of families of
four. It gives the average yearly expenditure on a number
of consumer products according the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
Consumer Expenditure Survey. Another table displays
information on families of four as homeowners compared
to renters.
Using
the Survey of Consumer Finance, this chapter lists the
average economic assets of a family of four such as
savings accounts, stocks, bonds, or other similar types
of wealth.
